Welcome to "The Park", the unofficial website of the career staff assigned to Loudoun County, Virginia Station 11.  This site is dedicated to the men and women that have made this station one of the most respected and sought after assignments in the county, and to the community they serve.  Located 25 miles west of Washington D.C. Engine and Tower 11 are first due to a wide variety of occupancies and target hazards which include light and heavy industrial complexes, numerous single family, townhome and garden apartments, schools, shopping centers and hazardous materials sites.

Captain Jamie Cooper

Originally a student of recruit school #3, Jamie has been a station commander for several years.  He became station 11's new leader in August of 2008, after serving such assignments as Middleburg, Aldie, and as a ALS provider at Loudoun Rescue station 13.  He can usually be found in the front right seat of Engine 11.

Lieutenant Chris Kerkstra

At the Park since August of 2006, Chris is assigned to Tower 11.  He has served many different assignments as both a firefighter and Technician.   He made Lieutenant in 2003 and was shipped to Middleburg for two years.   After moving to station 13 for a year he was granted his transfer request to come to the Park.  All is well now.

Lieutenant Bill Bliss

Bill came to us from Fire Training  in August of 2007 .  He is lucky enough to be able ride both the Engine and the Tower.  Bill is still a very active instructor at the academy.

Technician Larry Lippincott

Lippy came to station 11 in 2005 right out of recruit school #12.  He originally served primarily as the lineman and back-up driver on Engine 11.  After being  promoted to the rank of Technician he was reassigned to the Tower where he serves as the primary wheelman.

Technician Henry Davison

Skip came to us straight out of RS ? .  He was primarily assigned to the Tower, and made Technician in July of 2008.  He is our 'flipper', he flips back and forth between driving the Engine and Tower.

Technician Mike French

Mike hails from Jefferson, MD.  He worked most of his career in Lucketts before coming here in August 2008.  He is our primary wagon driver and has picked up the routine here at the Park with surprising speed.  He can normally be found out in the bays tinkering with the Engine.

FF/EMT Adam "Jed" Smith

Jed was initially assigned to Neersville station 16 out of recruit school #17.  He worked a day of overtime in the park and decided that's where he wanted to be.  He initiated a transfer request and was sent here in August of 2007.  He is happy to be a back-up driver and Outside Vent Man on Tower 11.

FF/EMT Jason Dice

Jason arrived in July 2007 straight out of RS #20.  He was weened on the Engine before making the jump to the Tower, where he can

outrun a speeding dog and throw ladders in a single bound.  He can often be found wherever a camera is being used.

FF/EMT Robert Topa

Just released from probation, Robert came to us with very little fire department experience but a great deal of life experience.  Within months we had molded him to a fine fireman capable of taking down walls by simply running through them.  We call him Frank the Tank.  He can be found in the kitchen sorting styrofoam cups into neat symmetrical rows every morning.

FF/EMT Wallo

Mike spent a long time at the Ashburn station before transferring to the Park in September 2008.  He has worked for the department since 2000, and is primarily assigned to Engine 11.  He is our lineman and will be a back-up driver soon.
